RoHS Compliance Status of Riverbed Products
We at Riverbed want to thank you for your continued interest in Riverbed and our products. Riverbed strives to comply with environmental and safety regulations in all areas where we sell products.
We are working with our key suppliers and partners to ensure that certain environmentally harmful materials are not used in the manufacturing of our products, including substances restricted by the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. We are in compliance with the RoHS Directive on products shipped to the EU.
Riverbed requires our suppliers to provide Certificates of Compliance in which they declare the absence of restricted materials in the products they supply to Riverbed. Our suppliers have provided such certificates to us and we will continue to work with them to insure that our products comply with applicable legal and environmental requirements.

WEEE Compliance
Riverbed is currently implementing our WEEE policies and practices. WEEE is a European Union initiative that, among other things, requires that electronic product manufacturers provide mechanisms through which customers can recycle their products.
Each country or WEEE jurisdiction in the EU is responsible for developing its own WEEE processes and procedures, which has resulted in variations in the states of readiness among various countries in the EU. Riverbed's products comply with the recycling guidelines of WEEE, we have a takeback program, and we are registering in jurisdictions in the EU where we are the “importer of record”.
